I was very sad to hear that our favourite celebrity and radio jock, DJ Sbu is finally leaving YFM after serving two tears with the youth radio station.
Sibusiso Leope aka Dj Sbu made this announcement last month, citing that his time to serve the youth at through the radio platform had come to an end. The self-proclaimed fashionista and winner of GQ's Best Dressed Men for 2008 is truly living proof of how dedication and persistence can get you far, he has achieved so much and continues to aspire to do so much for himself and his community.
The TS Records label exec is leaving the station to pursue his other interests in other fields such as business and property, where he has always flourished. He currently co-founded TS Records with his business partner TK Nciza, where the two set new boundaries in the South Africa music industry by taking local artists to a whole new level. South Africa was introduced to Mzekezeke, the loudmouthed, crazy and funny alter-ego of Dj Sbu, who got S.A on it's knees with his ever famous track 'Sgoqa nga ma dolo''
I salute Sbu for all his advise and words of encouragement to the youth, we thank him for his persistence to uplift ''ekasi' and the whole of Mzansi. Dankie siyabonga Grootman
